Please vote for Bob Perry for District Judge !

We all have our pet projects in this incredibly important election cycle, and I have several, including WC#3, our water sustainability ballot initiative.

Two others are judicial races. I am working hard to support Judge Deborah Schumacher for Supreme Court and hope that everyone on this list agrees she is the better candidate, and the ONLY one with actual on-the-bench "JUDGE" experience in that race. Schumacher's opponent implies in her advertising that she has "Supreme Court Experience," but she has never been a judge but only a "mediator" which for some strange reason, is titled "Settlement Judge" but which is definitely not a judge position. Judge Deborah Schumacher has about eleven (11) years of on-the-bench judge experience: Schumacher IS a real judge! (And an excellent one.)

The other judicial race, of course, is the Robert Perry race. In 43 years of being a lawyer, I cannot recall an election in which a sitting judge has been so viciously attacked, as has been Judge Perry. He does not deserve this treatment, and the allegations made against him by his challenger, who has NO judge experience whatsoever, are false. He has an excellent record as a District Judge, and is one of the hardest working judges I have ever observed.

I have personally known Bob Perry for about 27 years and have always found him to be honest, caring, and a genuine person. I personally nominated him for the award of Trial Lawyer of the Year before he became a judge, and N.T.L.A. bestowed that honor on him. I would be surprised if Bob Perry doesn't receive nearly all of the votes cast by lawyers and judges in this County.
