E-Waste Event Update

The response to the Saturday, January 31, 2009, e-waste event was unprecedented and we apologize to anyone who was turned away or inconvenienced. The response was almost twice the e-waste than any of the previous eleven events hosted in this community.

The University of Nevada, Reno Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), City of Reno, City of Sparks, Washoe County, Washoe County District Health and Disability Resources, Inc./New2U Computers realize there is a great public need and are busy organizing a follow-up event. We will be announcing a date and location soon and will improve the event to ensure no citizen is turned away. We also want to thank all of you who came out and made the event a larger success than we ever imagined. The support and response has demonstrated the tremendous need for this service in our community. You can bring computer equipment to New2Ucomputers at 155 Glendale Avenue, Stuite 11, from 9-5 Monday through Friday. Computer equipment can also be taken to the Transfer Station on commercial row. If it is a Sony product it is free, if not there is $15 recycling fee.
